When I get going, I will be unstoppable

Ah-hem. I would like to introduce everyone to the album of the moment:

Invitation Songs by The Cave Singers

In any other setting, I would hate lead singer Peter Quirk’s voice (which steadily channels Dylan), but the blissfully haphazard quality of the music that accompanies him makes the overall effect of this album more than pleasing. Sounding a bit like a more mature Cademon’s call, The Cave Singers definitely live up to their name in a very “Let’s all grab our loincloths and dance around a fire” kind of way. I like it; in fact, I like it a lot. Although their jig-inducing dittes [see "Dancing On Our Graves"] are probably the most notable, songs like “Seeds of Night” exhibit a soulful yearning that makes them even more endearing. The Cave Singers earn a solid A in my book. Now excuse me while I practice my washboard skills…

Also, I invite you to revel in the fact that Americans definitely have far too much time on their hands. Hey, at least they do interesting things with it. I, for one, used to collect mini-golf score-scorekeeping pencils.

Newsflash: Coffee good for insomniacs?

Oh, and as promised, a look at my kaputed puter:

I ordered my Mac (and iPod..yes, I gave in) last night. Triumph!
